3 Best Movies To Watch On Prime Video This Weekend (#1 Stars A The Boys Fan-Favorite)

This weekend on Prime Video is bound to be a fun one if subscribers decide to try out these three intense films with wildly different stories. On last weekend’s Prime Video movie recommendations, I talked about Shrek, Aftersun, and Sinners. The latter was a major player at the Academy Awards, with Michael B. Jordan winning Best Actor.

For March’s second-to-last weekend, I wanted to suggest three movies that felt somewhat similar in tone, while also different enough from one another in terms of style and story. This way, those who want to go for an epic three-movie binge can do so, while subscribers who want to pick only a movie or two to watch can also feel satisfied.

Agent Zeta (2026)

First up is a movie that has just dropped on the streaming service. Agent Zeta was released on Prime Video this Friday, March 20. It is the only Prime Video Original movie on this weekend’s list, making it a unique entry for subscribers to watch. As Prime Video’s new films tend to climb the global charts quickly, it’s better not to miss this one.

Agent Zeta is a Spanish spy thriller that revolves around four former Spanish intelligence agents getting assassinated simultaneously. They were all involved with the same mysterious operation, and it is up to Zeta to find a missing agent who survived and could hold the key to figuring out what is going on. This is a high-stakes spy story.

Drop (2025)

Drop is one of the movies I had a lot of fun with last year. This is one for those who look forward to rising stars, as Drop features 1923‘s Brandon Sklenar, who DC fans have been campaigning to play the next Batman, and The White Lotus‘ Meghann Fahy. Drop is an intense R-rated thriller.

The movie focuses on Sklenar and Fahy’s characters, Violet and Henry, going on a date, which is derailed by a mysterious stalker who keeps sending her the movie’s versions of Airdrops. As she is forced by the man to kill Henry in order to save her son, the tension rises to a boiling point.

Novocaine (2025)

Finally, Novocaine emerges as a perfect weekend movie option on Prime Video for those waiting for the final season of The Boys. The superhero series will return on April 8. For those who can’t wait for the show to be back, Novocaine is an action-packed film starring Hughie Campbell actor Jack Quaid.

The action thriller has a unique concept, as Quaid’s Nathan Caine can’t feel pain. When Sherry (Amber Midthunder), the woman of his dreams, is kidnapped by bank robbers, he embarks on a hilarious and gory pursuit after the criminals. Novocaine is an excellent Prime Video option for those wanting creative action scenes and a good laugh this weekend.
