A Mexican Navy aircraft crashed during a medical support mission in coordination with the Michou and Mau Foundation, near Galveston, Texas (United States), as reported by the institution this Monday.

“The Mexican Navy Secretariat reports that an aircraft from this institution, which was carrying out a medical support mission in coordination with the Michou and Mau Foundation, presented an incident during its approach in the vicinity of Galveston, Texas,” he noted this Monday in a message on his X account.

The institution added that it has activated “search and rescue protocols in coordination with local authorities,” without giving more details about the crew.

Finally, he noted that “the event is in progress,” and stressed that “the protocols are being carried out in coordination with all the corresponding authorities.”

The Michou y Mau Foundation, created in 1998, addresses the needs of thousands of Mexican children who have been victims of burns, in addition to raising awareness about the needs of burns and establishing assistance programs for the benefit of minors.
