If you are a fan of American football and have never attended a game in person, don’t wait any longer. It is time to start planning your trip and buy your tickets to support Texans in their home games at the NRG Stadium.

Once you choose the date and have your tickets, you have to start planning your experience. First of all, we recommend you reach the stadium early to participate in one of the most emblematic traditions of American football: the party prior to the game, known as Tailgating. Join hundreds of Texans fans in the NRG Stadium parking lot to share food and drink in an atmosphere of celebration and joy.

There are those who arrive from the previous night with their huge grills to smoke the famous meats of the BBQ Texana. If you get late, don’t worry. Inside the stadium you will also find Barbecue of some of the most famous places in the city such as GoodE’s and Truth, as well as hamburgers, pizzas, sandwiches, and higher options such as tacos and margaritas of the award -winning restaurant Hugo’s.

For something different and super exciting, going to a soccer match of the Cougars of the University of Houston is a unique experience. From the Tailgating outside the stadium to the porristas and animators, the university bands of the part -time, and the rituals of each of the schools integrate one of the most captivating experiences in which you must ever participate in life.

Major League Baseball

If you prefer baseball, in October there is still the opportunity to witness the Houston stars, the professional MLB team. There is no better way to enjoy the “American hobby” than with a cold beer and a famous Hot Dog in the stands of the Daikin Park, which is just in the center of the city, in an unforgettable environment.

As of September 30, the playoffs begin, and the stars are positioned again to compete for the title in the World Series.

Not far from this impressive stadium, which you can also make guided visits, is the Toyota Center, where as of October 21 we can support the Houston Rockets in the new season of the exciting basketball of the NBA. After an excellent 2024 season in which the Rockets reached the playoffs, fans are ready to follow the team in search of a title.

In case you cannot attend live games, in Houston there are many sports bars where you can see all the action in a friendly and relaxed environment. Here we leave you a list of some favorites.

St. Arnold Brewing Company

Just north of the center, the St. Arnold brewery has a huge ideal courtyard to see the games. There is a giant screen 4.8 meters wide so you don’t miss a minute of the action while you enjoy your famous handmade beers, delicious food, and an atmosphere of coexistence.
