The Environmental Commission of the Megalopolis activated Phase 1 of Environmental Contingency by Ozone, so on Wednesday the private cars with hologram 0 and 00, red gum, plate termination 3 and 4 may not circulate on Wednesday.
The agency reported in a statement that at 4:00 pm, 166 -party ozone concentrations were recorded per billion (PPB) at the FES Acatlán station, located in Naucalpan de Juárez; 156 PPB at the Tlalnepantla station, located in the municipality of the same name and 155 ppb at the Camarones station, in Azcapotzalco.
He added that the central region of the country has been under the effect of a high pressure system, which increased over the day, generating intense atmospheric stability and causing adverse conditions for the dispersion of ozone precursor pollutants.
The above, added to the intense solar radiation, contributed to the formation of Ozone in the northwest area of the Valley of Mexico.
The vehicular restriction for Wednesday also includes:
- Vehicles for particular use with hologram 2.
- The vehicles for particular use with hologram 1, whose last numerical digit is 2, 3, 4, 6, 8 and 0. The units that do not have verification hologram, such as old vehicles, demonstration or transfer, new, those that have tourist pass, foreign plates or with plates formed by letters, apply the same restriction as to vehicles that carry hologram 2.
