MEXICO CITY.- The Morenista Senator Adan Agusto López reappeared and demarcated from his former Secretary of Security in Tabasco, Hernán Bermúdez Requena, investigated for alleged links with the La Barredora criminal group.
The legislator said in the social network X that it is public that investigations began against members of his state government, so he considered fundamental that they must appear before the authorities to clarify the facts.
In addition, former Secretary of the Interior with AMLO said he is at the order of any authority, although not required so far.
He added that during his administration he faced “great challenges in terms of security” and managed to “substantially reduce criminal activity”, statements that accompany a table with figures on crimes reported in Tabasco.

The pronouncement of Adam Augusto López took place after President Claudia Sheinbaum declared earlier that it would be pertinent for the senator to explain his version.
“It would be good if (Adam Augusto López) gave his version for people to know what he lived as governor; what he lived with this person (Hernán Bermúdez),” he said at his morning conference.
The president added that this explanation could serve for Adam August López to clarify if he came information about alleged links of Hernán Bermúdez with the criminal group that operates as an arm of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel in Tabasco.
Morena’s national leadership confirmed Thursday that it has already suspended the partisan rights of Bermúdez Requena, a fugitive since January, as a previous step to the formal expulsion process.
