Adidas warns about a possible violation of consumer data • News • Forbes Mexico

The German sportswear adidas manufacturer said Friday that an unauthorized external part had obtained certain consumer data through an external customer service provider, except for passwords and credit card data.

“We immediately take measures to contain the incident and start an exhaustive investigation, collaborating with the main information security experts,” the company said in a statement.

Adidas said that the violated data consisted mainly of contact information related to consumers who had contacted their customer service in the past.

The statement indicates that, the compromised information includes names, email addresses, telephone numbers and birth dates of users who contacted said Adidas external customer service from at least 2024.

“Adidas is in the process of informing consumers potentially affected,” he said.
