Aeroméxico announced the expansion of its connectivity network with Europe, with two new routes, from Mexico City to Barcelona and from Monterrey to Paris, starting in March and April 2026, respectively.
In a statement, the airline specified that starting March 28 it will operate six weekly flights between Mexico City and Barcelona.
He noted that this new service reaffirms its commitment to the Spanish market, and noted that by summer 2026 it will offer around 40 weekly flights to Spain, in addition to the existing routes to Madrid.
Regarding the Monterrey-Paris flight, he noted that three weekly flights will begin on April 13, 2026.
He highlighted that this new route “will facilitate access from northern Mexico to Europe, thanks to connections with SkyTeam partners at Charles de Gaulle airport.”
Both routes will be operated with Boeing 787 Dreamliner equipment, which have flat-bed seats in the Premier One cabin, designed to provide greater comfort on long-range flights.

Aeroméxico added that with these additions, it will increase its seat capacity to Europe by 11%, compared to the previous year.
In this way, it plans to achieve “the largest offer in its history on that continent,” the airline stated.
The Mexico City-Barcelona route will offer more than 3,000 weekly seats, and the Monterrey-Paris route will offer more than 1,500, he added.
“These routes are part of our strategy to meet the growing demand between Mexico and Europe,” said Giancarlo Mulinelli, senior vice president of Global Sales at Aeroméxico.
On November 5, Aeroméxico announced its return to the financial markets of Mexico and New York, with the issuance of a public offering of shares with which it expected to obtain around 178.8 million dollars.
