Aeromexico, the leading airline in Mexico, reached a series of milestones that mark a new era of growth and modernization in the company’s history: the arrival of the number 100 aircraft to its Boeing 737 flotilla and the inauguration of the hundredst station in Punta Cana, in the east of the Dominican Republic.
With this, Aeromexico not only reaffirms its commitment to offer a service that ensures safe, comfortable and detail travel experiences, but also takes a key step in its international expansion strategy, which is committed to global connectivity, thus becoming one of the most important and safe connection centers in Mexico with the rest of the world.
Historical expansion
Since its foundation in 1934, when, then under the name of aircraft of Mexico, the sky furrowed for the first time with the Mexico-Acapulco route in a legendary Stinson, the company has marked a trajectory that every day knows new borders and robust its huge global presence.
Until April 2025, Aeromexico operated in 49 airports within the country – in addition to the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) -, and in 48 international destinations. This growth continues with new destinations that were incorporated this June: Philadelphia, Panama and Punta Cana, in addition to the San Luis Potosí-Atlanta route.
Thus, Aeromexico, with its 19 routes to Latin America, takes more than 14 countries of the Caribbean, Central and South America, reaching the 100th Airport in the idyllic Caribbean city, which reinforces its position as the Mexican airline with greater coverage and global projection.
A recognized vision
These achievements crown a 2025 especially positive for the airline, whose operational performance and commitment to passengers have earned him national and international awards. According to Cirium, the most reliable air data source in the world, Aeromexico is positioned as the most punctual airline in the world, with a 92.87%performance.
He also obtained the number 15 in the ranking of best airlines in Airliners, and was recognized as one of the brands with the greatest influence in the Mexican Republic. Beyond awards, this positive impact is reflected in its figures: only in January of this year, Aeromexico transported more than 2 million passengers, which represents an increase of 5% compared to 2024.
