A new study published in Cell magazine and was led by the Academy of Sciences of China, said that aging is faster around 50 years.
After analysis of age -related body changes, researchers found that a series of proteins are the first to start decaying being linked to blood vessels, followed by the pancreas and the spleen.
Previous studies had already focused on the presence of key milestones in the aging process; Such is the case of the investigation carried out in August 2024 by Nature Ageing, where he pointed out the drastic changes at the biomolecular level, being the first milestone at 44 and the second to the 60s.

New study could facilitate aging treatments
Researchers led by Yingjie Ding took samples of organs and tissues of 76 people between 14 and 68 who died from accidental craniocerebral trauma, obtaining a catalog of proteins present in various systems and their levels according to age.
The results of these samples demonstrated a change especially marked between 45 and 55 years, due to substantial tissue remodeling.
“Our study seeks to build an integral protein atlas that covers 50 years of the entire human aging process, clarifying the mechanisms that underlie protein imbalances in various organs and tissues,” says the authors.
“This knowledge could facilitate the development of specific interventions against aging and related diseases, paving the way to improve the health of older adults,” they conclude.
