The businesses created and moved by artificial intelligence, video games, messaging, social networks and marketplaces were shown in the Forbes Trends 2025 forum.
“Not only Mexico is a consumer country, we are also a video game developer and we have more than 100 videogame development studies and there is already an association of video game developments,” said Andro Miralrio, general director of Tencent Mexico.
He added that the Government of Mexico a few days ago on the instructions of Marcelo Ebrard, Secretary of Economy, is supporting the video game industry.
“They are already talking about tax incentives to detonate the video game industry and the Ministry of Economy is related to the association and studies to promote the brand made in Mexico,” he said.
“That speaks that we not only consume them, but also we develop them and that opened a range of professions for the video game industry,” said Andro Miralrio.
The manager said that currently, nor adding all the entertainment industries, the value of the video game industry market is reached.
“The marketing market value of the video game is 184 billion dollars worldwide,” says the manager.
The general director of Tencent Mexico calculated at $ 2,170 million the value of the video game industry in Mexico.
For his part, Marco Casarín, general director of Meta in Mexico, said that the country is a strategic geography where the company releases innovation services.
The manager indicated that Mexico was one of the first countries where they invested in artificial intelligence, business messaging at WhatsApp, as well as a few weeks ago they announced the availability of artificial intelligence lenses.
“Everyone talks about artificial intelligence, some get benefits from it, but I don’t really know how many more competitive we are more competitive with the leverage of artificial intelligence,” he said.

For Jorge Corral, director of NTT Data, Mexico can become a technology and innovation hub, if it manages to reduce the gap.
“Mexico in different industries has proven to be a leader and have qualified personnel and labor that is required,” he said.

“If we achieve the same with technology and reduce the gap could become an innovation and technology hub, as well as increase the competitiveness of Mexico,” said Corral.
Today we have the opportunity that through technology we can change the country, reduce the gap, inclusion and boost social and economic development, he added.
Meanwhile, also during the forum, René Saul, CEO and co -founder of Kapital Bank, stressed that they created the first financial ecosystem promoted by artificial intelligence.
“(This) maximizes the performance of small and medium enterprises,” said the manager, who added that they currently support credit and financing to small and medium enterprises, which are the engine of the Mexican economy.
Mexico is one of the most creative countries in the world, added the manager.

Meanwhile, Andrés Felipe Palacio, General Manager of Rappi Turbo Mexico, explained that the delivery in 10 minutes is one of the company’s bets in times where there is high competition in the e-commerce.
“The Marketplace is giving it dynamism and changing the world of e-commerce in the world,” said the manager.
For several years, electronic commerce has no brake, since it is worth more than 500 billion dollars, he said.
