Airbus confirmed on Friday that it will publish its audited year-end commercial data on January 12, which appears to be a sign of confidence in its recently revised target of delivering “around 790” aircraft.
The European manufacturer issued the statement via email following reports that it had delivered at least 782 aircraft in 2025. Industry sources said such a formal announcement would have addressed any changes to forecasts, given the market’s sensitivity to delivery data.
Aeronautical data firm Cirium previously estimated that Airbus will deliver 782 planes in 2025, and some analysts expect the figure to exceed 785 deliveries.
Aeronautical analyst Rob Morris indicated that it is possible that Airbus will record some additional deliveries compared to Cirium’s total, once the documentation is finalized.

Last month, Airbus reduced its annual delivery target from “around 820” planes to “around 790” following a problem with fuselage panels. The France-based company missed its numerical target in 2024, but took credit for the achievement based on the wording of the target, and analysts say a similar margin could be given for 2025.
Airbus remains the world’s largest aircraft manufacturer, ahead of Boeing, based on recent production and delivery levels. However, it is expected to fall behind its now-recovering US rival in the number of new orders.
