The Spanish Carlos Alcaraz completed his first training session in Queen’s, where he will begin his journey against his compatriot Alejandro Davidovich on Tuesday.

The Murcian tennis player, champion of this event in 2023, landed this Saturday in the English capital and moved to the club located in western London to hold his first training session since he won Roland Garros last Sunday against Jannik Sinner.

Alcaraz has spent the last days of vacation in Ibiza and his land, Murcia, where this Friday he attended the graduation of his brother Sergio. After the little break and with hardly any respite, Alcaraz wielded a racket on a surface in which he has triumphed in the last two years with three titles, two of Wimbledon and one of Queen’s.

In the training he was accompanied by Samuel López, his second coach since this 2025, by several relatives, including his father, Carlos, and his brother Álvaro, as well as Fran Rubio, Physiotherapist, Alberto Lladó, physical trainer, and Pedro Cobacho, friend of childhood.

Juan Carlos Ferrero, as usual, will enjoy a few days on vacation and will join the group the week before Wimbledon.

The Murcian made a soft training in his first contact with the grass. He will continue with the exercises this Sunday, next to the Czech Jiri Leheckka, before his debut on Tuesday.

Queen’s starts this Monday with a poster that includes Taylor Fritz, Holger Rune, Jakub Mensik and Alex de Miñaur, among others. At the last minute, important tennis players such as Lorenzo Musetti, finalist, Tommy Paul, champion in 2024, and Matteo Berrettini, winner in the 2021 and 2022 editions have been released.

The Murcian will measure Davidovich in the first round, Jordan Thompson or Jaume Munar in Second, Ben Shelton or Reilly Opelka in the quarterfinals, Jakub Mensik or Holger Rune, in the semifinals, and avoids Jack Draper, Taylor Fritz and Alex de Miñaur until a hypothetical final.
