The former governor of Oaxaca and current senator from Morena, Alejandro Murat, was linked to a corruption case in Spain known as the “Koldo case,” which involves public contracts during the administration of Pedro Sánchez, president of the Spanish Government.

An investigation indicates that Murat had links with Víctor Aldama, a businessman who was arrested in October and who would have managed irregular agreements related to projects in Mexico and Spain.

The participation of the Spanish public company Ineco in the Maya Train stands out, a key project of the government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

Aldama assured the Spanish authorities that Koldo García, former advisor to former Transport Minister José Luis Ábalos, contacted him to facilitate arrangements in Mexico thanks to his connections with figures such as Murat.

In addition, he noted that he worked on the creation of an air route between Madrid and Oaxaca.

Pedro Sánchez has declared that he is unaware of the irregularities in the payments related to the case, while Spanish media such as El Mundo continue to reveal details about this international corruption plot.

Alejandro Murat came to power in Oaxaca under the banner of the PRI and is now from Morena.
