Amazon is developing software for humanoid robots that could eventually take the job of cast workers, The Information reported Wednesday, citing a person familiar with the matter.
Reuters could not immediately confirm the report.
Amazon is completing the construction of a “Humanoid Park”, an obstacle track covered in one of the company’s offices in San Francisco, California, where it will soon try such robots, the report added.

The company is developing the artificial intelligence software that would boost such robots, according to the report, and added that Amazon plans to use hardware of other companies in their tests, for now.
The company did not immediately respond to a request for comments outside its usual business schedule.
In a series of ads on Wednesday, Amazon showed how warehouse robots, distributors and their expanding warehouses will benefit from a strong dose of AI, accelerating packages at customer doors.
