The governor of Nuevo León, Samuel García, had a surprising change of attitude this Friday with the businessman Elon Musk, since after strongly promoting the installation of Tesla in the entity, he now questioned the technological innovation that Donald Trump proposed with his return to the White House, led by the South African-American magnate.

During the annual assembly of the Single Union of State Public Servants (SUSPE), Samuel García criticized the fact that bureaucrats are vilified and questioned the future of what Trump and Musk have outlined as a new “robot secretariat.”

“Many times the bureaucrat is reviled, there are now Trump and Elon Musk saying that they are going to create a secretariat of robots, I want to see how they do, to see how they fight when the citizen arrives (Trump to the White House), they are going to end headless robots,” he said.

Recently, the president-elect of the United States tasked Musk with leading the new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

Samuel García had always shown sympathy for Musk, whom he referred to as “my compadre (friend)” and insisted on the installation of Tesla in Nuevo León, despite the fact that since the project was announced, in early 2023, he has not reflected progress.

Even Musk left the construction of the mega plant in Mexico in doubt, since one of Trump’s campaign premises was to impose strong tariffs on cars manufactured in Mexican territory, if he won the elections.
