(Reuters) .- Apple reported that Samsung will supply chips from its production plant in Texas for American firm products, including iPhones.
“This installation will provide chips that optimize the power and performance of Apple products, including iPhone devices,” he said in a statement.
A Samsung spokesman declined to comment.

The statement was made as part of Apple’s announcement on an additional investment of 100 billion dollars in the US, which raises its total investment commitment in the country to 600 billion dollars over the next four years.
Tesla recently signed an agreement of 16.5 billion dollars to stock up on Samsung chips, and CEO Elon Musk declared at the end of July that the new Samsung chips factory in Texas would manufacture the next generation of Tesla ai6 chip.
The Samsung Chips contract manufacturing business is expected to reduce its losses by ensuring new orders in 2026 to make image sensor chips for the IPhone 18 and chips for Tesla, wrote PAK YUAK, Kiwoom Securities analyst, in a note at the end of last month.
