The construction and development of different projects related to artificial intelligence could boost the attraction of foreign direct investment in Mexico by 25 percent, considered Francisco Cervantes Díaz, president of the Business Coordinating Council (CCE).
“With an additional 9 billion dollars that this sector intends to inject into the country, we will reach 25 percent more annual foreign direct investment and we will achieve 1 percent of the GDP through this investment area,” declared the businessman at the inauguration of the Mexico IA+ Accelerated Investment Forum.
According to the business representative, today Mexico is facing economic challenges that are decisive for its future development.
Mexicans have learned to carry out a permanent search to promote economic sectors that trigger investment according to their current added value, he noted.
“One of the sectors that will give more strength to investment in Mexico is artificial intelligence,” considered the leader who will end his mandate in the organization in the second week of December 2025.
In the years to come, artificial intelligence will provide companies with greater productivity and tools that multiply the orientation of corporate and managerial decision-making, he said.
With the Mexico AI+ accelerated investment project we will turn “our country into a comprehensive center of artificial intelligence,” he stated.
The participation of companies, digital services administrators, innovative talent and data centers will be key in promoting artificial intelligence in Mexico, said Francisco Cervantes Díaz.
Today Mexico offers unmatched advantages in terms of quality, human and specialized resources, as well as operational strength for the operation of the industry, the businessman explained.
“Today Mexico has 14 free trade agreements and their respective impact on 50 countries, which allows trade without tariffs,” he said.
