Óscar Benavides Carrillo, president of the Association of Customs Agents of the Port of Manzanillo (AAapumac), said that their affiliates are not behind or participated in the unemployment of work recorded in three different days in the customs of the port terminal located in Colima.
“We categorically manifest our demarcation regarding any relationship with the partial strike of work that recently maintained Customs Workers of Manzanillo on May 12, 14 and 15, 2025,” said the businessman.

He indicated that unemployment in the port of Manzanillo directly affects the operation and the importing community, exporter and other members of the logistics chain.
The business leader commented that the port of Manzanillo is one of the strategic nodes of foreign trade in Mexico.
On May 12, a group of customs workers began an indefinite work arrest for fair treatment and shorter work schedules.
According to the dissatisfied, the working hours are strenuous due to the increase in cargo in the port, which operates 24 hours a day, and demanded that the authorities solve the problem.

“As recently expressed by the president of Caaarem before the Maritime National Council – integrated by Concamin, Caaarem, Amanac and Comce -, we reiterate our confidence in the leadership of the head of the National Customs Agency of Mexico (ANAM), Rafael Marín Mollydo, for the prompt and adequate resolution of this conflict that impacts the main port port of Mexico and second National, ”said Oscar Benavides Carrillo.
He indicated that the customs agents of the port support the customs authorities and offer all their willingness to collaborate to the prompt reactivation and normalization of operations in the most important port enclosure in Mexico.
