Fitur, held from January 22 to 26 in Madrid, Spain, is one of the most relevant meetings of world tourism, with the participation of more than 152 countries, 9,000 companies and more than 153,000 professionals in the sector.

The presence of Quintana Roo in Fitur not only reaffirmed the positioning of the Mexican Caribbean as one of the preferred destinations in the Spanish market, but also reflected the commitment of this government to boost the welfare and development of the State through tourism.

During the days of celebration of the International Tourism Fair, visitors were able to witness the relevance of community tourism, represented by the Maya Ka´an destination. “This destination was the one that grew the most in 2024 and that has so much to offer the world, to talk about him, and that they know the wonders he has with this community tourism, with gastronomy, of wonderful service,” said Mara Lezama accompanied by the president Municipal Mary Hernández.

Resented, Governor Mara Lezama stressed that the objective of her government is to promote the beauty and diversity of the tourist destinations of Quintana Roo, but also to open the way to new opportunities for visitors to discover the corners full of culture, traditions and flavors offered by the entity.

“We are in a new era of tourism, where we not only seek to show the world natural wonders, but also invite tourists to explore the most authentic aspects of Quintana Roo, through community tourism where they will find the living expression of culture Maya. Our goal is that tourist success always translates into shared prosperity for all Quintanarroenses, ”said Mara Lezama.

The Mexican Caribbean pavilion exhibited the attractions of the 12 tourist destinations that make up the State with diversification and inclusion Madrid.

The governor has also emphasized that tourism is not only an economic engine, but a powerful tool for well -being and bringing social justice to those who need it most.

In Fitur 2025, the Delegation of Quintana Roo worked on strategic meetings to strengthen the promotion of natural and cultural attractions of the 12 destinations. Spain is currently the main foreign investor in the tourism industry of Quintana Roo.
