The remains of at least two men were found in a place where a migrant camp was installed in the north of Mexico City, one of them had been reported as disappeared on February 25, capital authorities reported.

In a bulletin, the Attorney General of Mexico City (FGJCDMX) said that the discovery of bones occurred on Friday, April 11 at the mayor’s office Gustavo A. Madero.

“Derived from the analysis carried out by multidisciplinary personnel from the General Coordination of Expert Services of this institution, it was determined that the remains correspond to two men,” said the dependence in the text.

He explained that one of them “presents characteristics coinciding with those of the person reported as disappeared on February 25, a case that gave rise to this investigation.”

He informed that the Institute of Forensic Sciences of Mexico City (INCIFO) continues with the corresponding studies to determine the cause of death and carry out the body delivery to their relatives, in accordance with the established protocols.

According to local media, the identified migrant would be Joan ‘N’, 18, a Colombian who was reported as disappeared on February 25 by his relatives.

The Capital Prosecutor informed that on February 25 he received the report of the disappearance of the Colombian, “who had a history of frequenting the migrant population camp located in the mayor’s office Gustavo A. Madero.”

With the report they began with search work, first with interviews with the victim’s acquaintances, which allowed to determine his possible luck and whereabouts.
