The Puerto Rican musician Bad Bunny and the Spanish Rosalía appear on the list of nominees for the Brit Awards, the most important music awards of the year in the United Kingdom, which will be presented on February 28 in Manchester.
Bad Bunny and Rosalía are competing, both for the first time, for the award in the ‘International Artist of the Year’ category, which they will compete with Doechii and other artists who have already been nominated in the past, such as Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter or Chapelle Roan, as reported today by the organization.
The International Song of the Year award (which will be voted on by the public exclusively via WhatsApp) is nominated by Bruno Mars (twice, for his collaboration with Lady Gaga and ROSÉ), Alex Warren, Disco Lines&Tinashe, Gigi Perez, Gracie Abrams and Ravyn Lenae.
As for the purely British categories, two names stand out above the others: Lola Young and Olivia Dean, both alumni of the prestigious BRIT School, who have five nominations each, including Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, etc.

The organization considers that these two young singers (25 and 26 years old, respectively) “have been recognized as (artists) who have defined the ‘revival’ of British music at home and globally.”
Other multi-nominated British musicians are Sam Fender, Dave, Fred again…, Jim Legxacy, Lily Allen and Wolf Alice.
The BRIT awards gala will be held for the first time in its five decades outside the British capital and specifically at the Co-op Live in Manchester, a multipurpose space inaugurated in 2024 and with capacity for 23,000 people.
The ‘show’ will be presented by actor and director Jack Whitehall and will be broadcast on the ITV and ITVX networks.
