San Juan, (EFE) .- Bad Bunny defended this Friday the immigrant communities of the policies of US President Donald Trump, and called on the unity of Latinos in the video of their theme ‘Nuevayol’.
‘Together we are stronger,’ says a message at the end of the video, in which some young people listen to a speech that mimics a possible repentant Trump for their deportation policies.
“I made a mistake, I want to apologize to immigrants in America, I mean in the United States. I know that America is the entire continent,” says the voice transmitted by the radio.
The ‘Newyol’ video was published on July 4, coinciding with the EU celebration of Independence Day.
“I want to say that this country is nothing without immigrants. This country is nothing without Mexicans, Puerto Ricans, Colombians, Venezuelans, Cubans,” adds the voice.
In the video, the statue of freedom with the Flag of Puerto Rico also appears on the forehead and with the blue of the same in light blue, which is the tone used by those who reject the annexation of the island to the US.

The population of Puerto Rico, a free state associated with the US, is divided between those who request that annexation (status) and those who ask for independence or greater sovereignty.
The ‘Newyol’ video begins with Bad Bunny walking on the snow and, when getting into a vehicle, asks: “And this cold when it ends, devil?”
Next, the celebration of a quinceañero arrives, with its food and its dances, and images in color and black and white of the Puerto Rican diaspora in New York, the so -called ‘Nuyoricans’.
In addition to the celebration of the quinceañero, other typical customs of Puerto Rico appear, such as the game of dominoes, which the diaspora has preserved.
‘Nuevayol’ is one of the themes of Bad Bunny’s last album, ‘I had to throw more photos’, a tribute to his native island that achieved an immediate world success by merging reggaeton with sauce and full.
Bad Bunny will offer an artistic residence of 30 shows, entitled ‘I don’t want to leave here’, at the Coliseum of Puerto Rico, in San Juan, from July 11 to September 14.
