Bad Bunny was chosen by the magazine specialized in Billboard music as the maximum Latin artist of the 21st century, according to the media this Tuesday on its website.

As explained by Billboard, this ranking is based on the performance of artists on Top Latin Albums and Hot Latin Songs from January 2000 to December 2024.

“Bad Bunny continues to redefine Latin music through its art, amplifying its global scope and influence,” Billboard about Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio stood out, Bad Bunny’s battery name.

“Benito has accumulated multiple simultaneous successes by masterfully combining his singles with effective collaborations, managing to lead the Top Latin Albums list eight times during this quarter of a century,” added the magazine.

Billboard highlighted the achievement of the Puerto Rican artist, because becoming the top Latin artist of the 21st century is even more impressive because it did not appear in the magazine’s rankings until 2016.

His first topic included in Billboard’s classifications was in 2018.

Since then, he has achieved 14 issues number 1 in the Hot Latin Songs and eight list in Top Latin Albums.

In addition, it holds a record of 89 songs that have reached the first 10 in Hot Latin Songs, more than double than runner -up Enrique Iglesias and Luis Miguel, with 39 each, since the list began to be prepared in 1986.

“Throughout his career, he has demonstrated incomparable control over his artistic career, mixing his production without effort with the stories he wants to tell,” Billboard said about the so -called ‘bad rabbit’.
