The Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny will be recognized as ‘Artist of the 21st Century’ at the 2025 Billboard Latin Music Awards, which will be held in Miami on October 23, the Telemundo network and the organization of the award announced this Thursday.
The recognition celebrates the Puerto Rican artist’s historic dominance on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums and Hot Latin Songs charts over the past 25 years, with multiple multi-platinum albums and singles that have broken records and redefined the standards of success in Latin music, a statement said.
“Bad Bunny’s recognition as Billboard Latin Artist of the 21st Century is based on his unprecedented dominance of the Billboard charts over the last 25 years,” the statement said.
The lead ranges from multiple songs debuting simultaneously at the top of the charts to album releases that took center stage in the global conversation, including chart performance that set a new standard for Latin music.
Billboard and Telemundo emphasize that beyond his musical career, Bad Bunny has expanded his influence to cinema, fashion and pop culture.
