Those who become judges as of September will have been chosen by a minority that will not have understood the nature or scope of their decision, the Banamex financial group considered.

In a wide note, the Economic Analysis area cited an Enkoll survey where it is indicated that only 23% of the population know or have heard who are the candidates who will participate in the judicial election of June 1.

He stressed that on average each voter should meet about 200 candidates, some up to 287, to discern their decision.

“And it is not only the amount of candidates but also the understanding of what criteria they should choose between them,” he said.

He explained that the specialized judges in telecommunications and broadcasting, as well as in economic competence will only be chosen by the voters of six mayors of Mexico City: Miguel Hidalgo, Cuauhtémoc, Azcapotzalco Gam, Coyoacán and Tlalpan.

Banamex said that this process will confirm that it is not only desirable but also materially impossible to involve the majority of the population in the choice of specialists in the application of the law.

He said that the court order of the country will be subject to a logic of autocratic control and discretion.
