Nuevo Vallarta, Nayarit.- Emilio Romano Mussali, the new president of the Association of Banks of Mexico (ABM), said that banks are ready to detonate the investments of the Mexico Plan, with which President Claudia Sheinbaum seeks to reactivate the economy.
“We are ready to serve as drivers and triggers of the investment schemes that allow this opportunity to come true,” he said at the 88 Banking Convention.
“There is no more noble investment that catalogs the development of a country than infrastructure investment,” said the newly appointed president of the ABM.
He said that banks have listened carefully to the requirement of the authorities so that banking increases access to credits for micro small and medium enterprises: “This is a common goal, a shared objective.”

On the eve, Sheinbaum Pardo asked Banking to give more credit, Mexico is already one of the lowest worldwide.
“Our commitment to the Mexico Plan is clear, since it establishes the route for growth with social sense and shared prosperity,” said Emilio Romano Mussali.
He said that to develop infrastructure of the transport sector, telecommunications and energy contemplated in the Mexico Plan, the collaboration of the public, private and financial sectors is required.

“In Mexico there is an ideal ecosystem to detonate (investment) with capital suppliers of private, national and foreign funds, many are present here, debt suppliers, national and foreign capital markets, the same builders and operators of world -class assets,” he said.
He said that the bank aims to ensure that 30 percent of small and medium enterprises have access to bank credit at the close of this six -year period.
He added that another objective is to continue reducing interest rates, especially credits in which there is participation of development banking.
