During the 2025 Cannes Festival, the power of cinema and beauty becomes naturally intertwined. The faces of the protagonists we see on the big screen surprise us and function as a symbol of empowerment. As a sign of this, we have the presence of L’Oreal Paris and its ambassadors, who continue to reaffirm the legacy of the brand as an official partner for 28 ° consecutive year.

In 2025, the brand not only illuminated the red carpets with iconic looks, but also deepened its commitment to female inclusion and empowerment through initiatives such as the Lights on Women’s Worth Award, which celebrated its fifth edition with the Korean Heo Gayoung as winner.

The Latin delegation shone in Cannes by Belinda, Luis Torres and Renata Notni, Mexican ambassadors of L’Oréal Paris. Notni and Belinda dazzled in the Red Carpet of Mission Impossible with makeup that exalted their natural beauty, created by Harold James, global makeup director of the brand.

Renata Notni opted for a radiant Glow with True Match Serum and a touch of Lumi Glotion, while her lips stood out with the Lip Oil Plump Ambition in Worth It. For her part Belinda chose the base Skin Inc and the panorama mask, complementing her look with the same lip oil and illuminator.

Lights on Women’s Worth: A light on the filmmakers of the future

The most emblematic event of L’Oréal Paris in Cannes was the delivery of the Lights on Women’s Worth, a prize that seeks to make the female role in the cinema visible and combat gender disparity in the industry. This year, actress and ambassador Viola Davis (winner of an egot) selected Heo Gayoung for her moving short film First Summer, who explores the female duel and resilience.

“Gayoung captures that desperate need we have to claim what it means to feel alive: brave, bold and deeply human,” Davis said during the ceremony in the demand of Demain, where they were also ambassadors such as Gillian Anderson, Elle Fanning and Jane Fonda.

Since its creation in 2021, the award has supported directors such as Vivo Li (2024) and Aleksandra Odié (2021), whose works have been recognized in more than 220 international festivals.

The generational legates of L’Oréal

This year, the brand commemorated milestones of two of its most emblematic ambassadors: Eva Longoria (20 years with L’Oréal) and Andie Macdowell (40 years), in Le Dîner Women of Worth, a space that reinforces her feminist mission. “We want women to claim their place in the cinema and in the world,” said Delphine Viguier-Hovasse, global president of L’Oréal Paris.

L’Oréal Paris transformed Cannes 2025 into a manifesto of empowerment, Latin representation and female art. While the flashes captured the looks of their ambassadors, behind the scenes, the brand continued to write a story where beauty and equity are inseparable.
