Beer Factory & Food announced this Monday the closure of its branches in Mexico.
After beginning operations in 1997, the chain reported in a statement the closure of its establishments as of today.
“The points you accumulated during your visits to Beer Factory are still valid to redeem at any of the other 3 brands of the Toks club, Panda Express and El Farolito and find out about all your benefits,” he explained.
On its website, the brand stated that although it closes its branches, craft beers will continue to be offered at different points of sale.
Beer Factory & Food, whose first branch was opened in Santa Fe, was acquired by Grupo Gigante in 2015 to add it to its restaurant offering.
The brand has at least 250 employees and operated in Mexico City and the State of Mexico through five establishments.

Grupo Restaurantero Gigante, a unit of the Grupo Gigante consortium, has more than 230 restaurants in the country in cafeteria restaurant formats: Toks; fast food: Panda Express; casual dining: Beer Factory & Food; fine casual: Shake Shack, and specialty restaurant: El Farolito.
Revenue from Grupo Gigante’s restaurant business in the third quarter grew 13% annually to 2,143.2 million pesos, according to its financial statements.
During the period, the consortium opened two Shake Shack restaurants and three El Farolito taquerias, while it closed an Office Depot store and a Radio Shack store.
