Reality star and entrepreneur Bethenny Frankel is flying south — and saying goodbye to her historic estate in Greenwich, Connecticut.
The former “Real Housewives of New York City” star sold Applejack Farm, her estate in Greenwich, for a cool $7.8 million, Architectural Digest reported, over $3 million more than she paid for it four years ago. The deal for the property breaks down to $1,200 per square foot when considering the main house.
The 6,500-square-foot main house includes five bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a covered porch and a wood-burning fireplace in the dining room. The guest cottage has two bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms. There’s also a three-car garage, a studio, a patio with a fire pit and a barn.
Frankel made updates to the kitchen, as well as wallpaper and light fixtures throughout the home.
The home is legendary in Greenwich circles, one of the oldest in the area, having been built in 1743. The former governor of the state owned the property from 1989 to 2001. Frankel purchased the three-acre estate in 2021 for $4.3 million.
Corcoran Centric Realty’s Jeff Jackson arranged the sale to the buyer, who remains anonymous. Martha Z. Jeffrey and Anne Oglivy of Sotheby’s International Realty’s Greenwich Brokerage represented the buyer.
Frankel maintains a residence in Miami and announced earlier this spring that she would be moving to the Sunshine State for the foreseeable future. While she still has a home in New York, she was also looking to downsize in the Hamptons, listing her Bridgehampton home in September.
The Skinnygirl mogul entered into contract to sell that place in February, according to Behind the Hedges. The main residence and an adjacent lot with a guest cottage were ultimately sold separately for a combined $5.2 million in April.
She does appear to be keeping her home in Southampton for the time being and bought a renovation project in South Florida recently, though details about the latter are scant.
