Shakira became the highest-grossing Latin artist in history for her stadium tour ‘Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran’ and was recognized by the American music magazine Billboard with the ‘Global Touring Icon’ award, as reported this Tuesday in a statement by the Barranquilla singer’s team.

To date, the 64 of the 82 concerts planned for ‘Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran’ have grossed more than $327.4 million and sold more than 2.5 million tickets, setting a new record as the highest-grossing Latin tour in history by a woman.

“Currently, it is also the second highest-grossing Latin tour in general, with projections indicating that it could reach first place by the close of the December dates,” the note adds.

The figures include the series of 12 presentations that Shakira made at the GNP Seguros Stadium in Mexico City, the largest number of consecutive shows that any tour has offered at this venue, selling 65,000 tickets per night for a total of 780,000 attendees, always according to the statement.

The ‘Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran’ tour was originally launched in April 2024, in support of their album of the same name which peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Latin Albums and Latin Pop Albums charts, and will conclude in December in Florida, United States.
