Washington, (EFE) .- The White House announced Monday that The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) is banned from the trip that Donald Trump will make to Scotland this month in retaliation for having published a letter with the signing of the president who was sent to Jeffrey Epstein, accused of sexual trafficking of minors.
“Due to the false and defamatory behavior of The Wall Street Journal, it will not be one of the thirteen media on board,” said presidential spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt, in a statement sent to Digital Axios.
The White House established in February new rules for the media, for which the government went on to decide which journalists can follow and ask Trump, a task that until then corresponded exclusively to the Association of correspondents of the White House (Whca).
“The Wall Street Journal or any other means of communication are not guaranteed special access to cover President Trump in the Oval Office, aboard the Air Force One and in their private work spaces,” Leavitt added on Monday.
The president sued the WSJ last Friday, to News Corp -Conglomerate that encompasses the newspaper- and the owner of the latter, Rupert Murdoch, for disseminating said letter related to the financial, who died in 2019.

The WSJ had published a day before the letters that Epstein received for his 50th birthday in 2003 there was one with the name of Trump and a drawing with the contour of a naked woman. That illustration outlined the breasts and had the word Donald in the area of the pubic hair.
According to the newspaper, Epstein’s exasist, Ghislaine Maxwell -who celebrates a 20 -year prison sentence for being an accomplice of the tycoon -compiled Trump letters and Epstein members to include them in an album as a gift.
The publication of this letter, that the False Tacha Executive, coincided with a time when the Epstein scandal has resurfaced in the US after the FBI and the Department of Justice concluded that the tycoon committed suicide and did not have a famous “list of clients” to which it blackmail, a conclusion that left the most staunch followers of Trump dissatisfied.
