The Bloodborne PC port is one of the most sought-after video game additions of all time, with fans of the beloved FromSoftware eager to see the PlayStation exclusive finally receive the remaster that comes with the PC enhancement.

It has been a decade since Bloodborne first launched on the PlayStation 4, and despite now being backwards compatible on the PlayStation 5, the title, which is widely regarded as one of the best video games of all time, is still stuck under Sony’s control to this day.

Luckily for us, it is fans such as fromsoftserve over on Nexus Mods, that has made the seemingly impossible, possible.

Bloodborne Is Back On PC, Thanks To The Fans

In a project that has spanned over two years, fromsoftserve has been working on bringing Bloodborne to the PC and their latest iteration shows just how far it has come. In the newly renamed BB PC Remaster, Bloodborne now welcomes dynamic shadows, boosted shadow render distance and stability, parallax occlusion mapping added to many surfaces, and improved lighting for sources such as candles and lamps. Put simply, the game looks stunning, and it is hard to believe that it started out as a 2015 PlayStation 4 release.

In a recently shared YouTube video, the modder shows us some gameplay from the PC port which was created using the shadPS4 emulator. As such, you will also need to download the emulator if you wish to play this version of the game, but with Bloodborne looking this good, it is an easy sacrifice to make.

Who Needs PlayStation?

Despite FromSoftware expressing an interest in working on a Bloodborne remaster in the past, Sony is seemingly not on board for reasons unknown to fans. With such a loyal fanbase, it is a no-brainer that a PC port or remaster in any form will sell in their droves, with more recent FromSoftware titles such as Elden Ring racking up over 30 million copies sold. That being said, thanks to modders like fromsoftserve, we do not even need Sony to jump on the bandwagon as Bloodborne is not only available on PC, but it is available in its best state yet.

Since its original upload to Nexus Mods back in September 2024, the BB PC Remaster has had a whopping 131,000 unique downloads, giving us just a glimpse into how sought-after the port really is. Now thanks to dedicated work and commitment, the mod is in its best state yet, and by looking at the screenshots alone, it is clear to see that Yharnam has never looked better.
