The businessman Ricardo Salinas Pliego paid a bail of 25 million dollars to avoid being arrested in the United States for an alleged debt that companies maintained with AT&T, according to a report by the Bloomberg News agency.

The operator claims a millionaire debt for the purchase of the Telecommunications business of Salinas Pliego in 2014.

AT&T claimed that money was owed for unpaid taxes and Salinas companies challenged the claim, but lost it and were declared in contempt.

A New York judge declared Salinas Pliego in contempt after the payment was not recovered, so he was ordered to pay the telecommunications company 20 million dollars or would be imprisoned.

According to the Bloomberg report, Salinas Pliego and its companies deposited a bail of 25 MDD before the two -week period set by the judge.
