The Mexican Stock Exchange reported this Tuesday that it lifted the suspension of trading of the shares of Ricardo Salinas’ Grupo Elektra, three months after disabling it.
In July, the market had suspended trading in Grupo Elektra securities, after the company reported that it had received information from the control group regarding possible fraud by depositories of its shares.
“The National Banking and Securities Commission resolved to deny this Stock Exchange authorization to maintain the suspension of the securities of the Grupo Elektra issuer,” he said about the measure, decided on Monday.
“As a result of the above, this Stock Exchange lifts the aforementioned suspension as of today, October 22, 2024,” he added.
