President Claudia Sheinbaum held on Thursday a meeting in the National Palace with businessmen and federal officials to review progress from the Mexico Plan, the program to attract investment and strengthen industrial relocation in the country, according to a note published by The Universal.

Among the attendees, he highlighted the presence of businessman Carlos Slim Helú, who entered driving his own vehicle for the access of mail. Altagracia Gómez Sierra also attended, coordinator of the Regional Economic Development Advisory Council and Company Relocation, as well as the Infrastructure Secretaries, Jesús Esteva, and Energía, Luz Elena González.

Upon reaching the meeting, Francisco Cervantes, president of the Business Coordinating Council (CCE), told the media that the meeting was aimed at monitoring the Mexico Plan and accelerating its implementation.

“We are going to reinforce the progress of the plan; it is going well, but you have to tighten to move faster,” he said according to El Universal.

Regarding the fiscal plan approved this Thursday in the United States, the employer declared that there is will to maintain narrow cooperation.

“We are talking with them. We are complementary, we are very integrated. And there is a good disposition of both sides for that,” he said.
