The sale of light cars in Mexico added five months with falls to annual rates.
Last month, 124,167 units were marketed, a 3% contraction compared to the same month last year, according to data from the automotive sector published Thursday.
The observed fact was less than 127,136 units provided by the Mexican Association of Automotive Distributors, according to a statement from the organization.

In the accumulated between January and August, 957,993 cars were sold, 0.7% less when comparing the data with the same period of 2024, and compared to the previous month, the setback in August was 0.3%.
Of the total cars placed in the first eight months of the year, 18.3% were Nissan, 13.3% of General Motors and 11.3% of Volkswagen, according to a report by the Mexican Association of the Automotive Industry.
