WASHINGTON.- President Donald Trump calculated on Tuesday that the new tariff for cars that he plans to impose from April 2 will be around 25%.
“I will probably say it on April 2, but it will be around 25%,” the Republican leader told journalists at his Mar-A-Lago club when asked about cars tariffs.
The president declared that tariffs would also reach semiconductors and pharmaceutical products, according to a Bloomberg report.
On Friday, Trump said the levies to cars would take effect as soon as on April 2, a day after the members of their cabinet must deliver reports that describe the options for a series of import tariffs while seeking to reformulate the global trade.
