Warning! Spoilers ahead for FBI season 8, episode 11, “Confetti.”FBI season 8, episode 11 finds a way to fix FBI: Most Wanted‘s worst character ending. It has been a long winter for CBS fans, as its 2025-2026 TV roster has been on hiatus since December. The extended break is unusual for the network, as it usually spreads out mini-breaks throughout the latter half of the cycle. Luckily, that ends today, as FBI season 8 resumes its scheduled programming, releasing a fresh episode.
CBS makes up for the stretched-out winter break for fans, with FBI season 8, episode 11, “Confetti”, an outing that is more special than its usual weekly cases. In it, Shantel VanSanten’s Nina reunites with her original team from the New York Field Office for a particularly tricky case. The last time she was on the small screen was during the FBI: Most Wanted series finale nearly a year ago, which was a satisfying send-off to the team, except for one character.
Nina Had The Most Boring Ending Story On FBI: Most Wanted Finale
Remy’s retirement marked the FBI: Most Wanted series finale, as Barnes officially took over the force. The rest of the team didn’t have major shake-ups, but they all ended the show with their respective personal wins. Hana revealed that Ethan was done with rehab and that they were going to live together. Meanwhile, Ray was going to have a baby with Cora.
The only FBI: Most Wanted character who didn’t have any major plot development was Nina. Sure, she forgave his dad after he questioned why she and Scola weren’t planning on tying the knot. Still, that felt too small of a plot for a character send-off, especially in light of everything else happening for the rest of the Fugitive Task Force. Overall, FBI: Most Wanted‘s finale was satisfying, so it was easy to forget about how Nina got the shortest end of the stick in it. Now, however, CBS is revisiting the plot.
Nina & Scola Tie The Knot On FBI Season 8, Episode 11
On FBI season 8‘s return to primetime, Nina seeks the help of her old team. As her undercover stint goes sideways, Jubal’s agents offer assistance to make up for the snafu and solve the case. It is exciting to see her not just be back on the screen but also in an action-packed mission. That said, “Confetti’s” main takeaway isn’t the case. It’s the fact that at the end of it, Nina and Scola finally tie the knot. The celebration was at the forefront of FBI season 8’s 2026 return marketing, so it wasn’t technically a twist.
Still, that doesn’t take away from the importance of the moment. FBI season 8 has been a roller coaster of emotion thus far. While the New York headquarters has solved every single case that has come their way this cycle, it has also had some losses. Having something personal like this to celebrate is such a welcome treat for the show. Aside from that, it also makes up for FBI: Most Wanted not giving Nina a more substantial farewell story.
For what it’s worth, immediately reversing Nina’s decision about not wanting to get married on the FBI: Most Wanted finale would have been divisive. It would look like the show walked back on something that she had been adamant about. That said, the FBI spinoff should have at least given her a major win before its end. With enough separation between then and now, it’s easier to celebrate Nina and Scola’s wedding.
