The Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) lost 38,715 million pesos in the fourth quarter of 2024 attributable to controlling participation, and throughout the year the losses were 124,113 MDP.
In the same quarter of 2023, the company reported profits for 20,331 MDP, while for all that year it recorded net benefits for 97,217.5 million pesos.
Meanwhile, the income of the national electricity at the close of 2024 grew 16% per year to 159,697 MDP, and for the whole year 3.5% to 662,435 MDP increased.
The increase for the whole year attributed it to a greater number users and the increase in prices derived from inflation.
