It is expected that by the end of 2025 the Brazilian production plant will create 150,000 vehicles intended to supply mainly the South American markets, and by 2026 this figure should increase to 300,000.
In addition, the government reported that this investment is projected to create 10,000 direct jobs by 2025 and 20,000 by the end of 2026.
This Monday, the executive also announced that the company will begin producing its first flexible hybrid system (with electric motor, gasoline and ethanol) in its factory located in the Camaçari Industrial Center in the state of Bahia.
The project was developed by 110 Chinese and Brazilian engineers.
The Chinese company’s factory located in Bahia is still under construction and will begin operating in January next year, according to the state government.
