Several residents of Paiporta, Valencia-Spain, destroyed the car in which the Spanish President Pedro Sánchez was traveling, managing to smash the windshield, medallion and mirrors of the car.

The events occurred while the president was seeking to leave the region, which he visited together with the Spanish monarchs to give a speech and review the damage caused by the storms of recent days.

After the visit of the Spanish authorities to the affected region, the residents took the opportunity to throw mud and shout “murderers” at the rulers, while King Felipe VI indicated that he “understands” the annoyance of the Spanish.

The fatalities due to the storm that hit Spain last Tuesday amounted to 217 this Sunday, the vast majority of them, 213, occurred in the province of Valencia, on the Mediterranean coast, the epicenter of the most serious floods in Spain since last century.

The Minister of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory, Ángel Víctor Torres, reported this Sunday that the number of fatalities in the province of Valencia rose to 213, while he did not give a number of missing people, five days after the floods.

The rest of the victims occurred in the regions of Castilla-La Mancha, with three deaths, and one in Andalusia.
