“To face the tariffs imposed by the president of the United States, we are making a common front with the president to advance the negotiation,” said the leader of the dome agency, who is invited to attend the Zócalo on Sunday 9 March to know the measures that the Government of Mexico will take against the US.

Sheinbaum has had good communication and directly with Donald Trump, even “tomorrow will have another call” to negotiate stop the tariffs charged by the United States to Mexico, he added.

“I have said it many times, he is a president of the United States, but he is also a great businessman,” said Francisco Cervantes.

The president of the CCE commented that the postponement of the collection of tariffs to the automotive industry is good news, “which is one of the important sectors among all of the Mexican industry, since Mexico is the sixth exporter of vehicles, so it is good news,” he said.

“The TMEC will arrive with the minimum details so that it is more than a renegotiation, it would be a renewal, while the Mexico Plan is part of the bilateral agenda and will help upload the national content of the industry,” he said.

Currently, Mexico, the United States and Canada are already seeing the points “that we were going to discuss every six years in the framework of the TMEC and they already advanced,” he said.

The businessman considered that Claudia Sheinbaum is taking into account the private sector and on Sunday will make an important announcement.

“We are going to have meetings from here to Sunday to see which are the best measures,” he concluded.
