Mexico City, (Reuters) .- The Supreme Court of Justice (SCJ) of Mexico ordered the Attorney General’s Office to carry out a public version, for its consultation, of the file on the emblematic case of the disappearance of the 43 students of Ayotzinapa.

The ruling, promoted by “a natural person”, contemplates a version in the Internet portal of the Prosecutor’s Office where he can only hide confidential data of the file and protect the rights of third parties involved, such as the victims.

“The First Chamber concluded that the delivery and dissemination of a public version of the aforementioned investigation folder does not transgress, in any way, the rights of the victims in the investigation of the case that it is, so he confirmed the contested sentences and denied the requested amparo,” said the SCJN in a statement.

The FGR did not immediately respond to a request for information on the Court’s decision.

The Court did not clarify the deadline in which the FGR must comply with the mandate.

For more than a decade, parents and lawyers of the victims have struggled that those responsible for ordering the attack and disappearance of young people in Guerrero are.

The fact has been considered by international organizations as one of the worst atrocities that occurred in the recent history of Mexico.
