Deputy Cuauhtémoc Blanco considered that he did not commit any offense during the remote session of the Budget Commission of the Chamber of Deputies, in which he was caught playing paddle tennis, but said that if they want to fine him, they should sanction him, according to information from the Quadratín México agency.
The former soccer player assured that the video corresponds to an activity carried out hours before the meeting: “It was at eight in the morning, I finished playing at that time. The meeting was at 10, when attendance had to be recorded.”

Blanco justified that he was in the Desierto de los Leones, where the signal is poor, which made his connection difficult. Although he rejected the criticism, he stated that he will assume any consequences if the House decides to sanction him.
“I’m not going to fall into provocations. If they want to fine me, then fine me,” he emphasized.
The legislator mentioned that he carries out physical activity for medical indications and that he usually plays sports to stay in shape.
