Over the years, the Cyberpunk 2077 franchise has gone from strength to strength, solidifying it as one of the greatest video games ever made. Celebrating its 5th anniversary back in December, it is hard to believe that the current Cyberpunk 2077 is the same one that launched in an unplayable state back in 2020, but thanks to the dedicated work of CD Projekt RED, the futuristic RPG boasts an ever-growing playerbase and in this case, multiple collaborations.

Alongside collaborations with Night Crew Games, writer Bartosz Sztybor, and Viture, it seems as though CD Projekt RED is teaming up with another gaming giant to bring fans the return of Night City, but perhaps not where you would first expect.

Cyberpunk 2077 DLC Is Coming… To Fortnite

Cyberpunk 2077 - 2.1 update - Adam Smasher charges

Yes, you read that correctly. The world of Cyberpunk 2077 is heading to Fortnite. You may be wondering: didn’t CD Projekt RED already collaborate with Epic Games? In which case, you would be correct, as a previous crossover saw V and Johnny Silverhand receive Fortnite avatars. As such, this marks the second collaboration between the two major studios, and this time, it is bound to make a smashing impression on players.

First teased back on 6 March, the official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account posted, “New Cyberpunk 2077 locker content smashing into Fortnite soon! Stay tuned, chooms.” Despite not giving any more information, it is clear that the use of the word “smashing” is a clue here, and fans were quick to believe that none other than Adam Smasher himself would be receiving the Fortnite treatment next.

Now, a few weeks on, the Epic Games Store has released its own Tweet, simply saying, “Arasaka’s ultimate weapon” whilst tagging the Cyberpunk 2077 account. So yes, it is looking pretty likely that Adam Smasher will join the likes of V and Johnny Silverhand in the Fortnite roster.

We’ll Take More Cyberpunk 2077 However We Can Get It

It may not be exclusive content for Cyberpunk 2077 itself, but hey, it is better than nothing. With CD Projekt RED revealing that it has no plans for a second DLC or any further expansions, it has instead turned its attention to the highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 sequel, alongside The Witcher IV, of course. As such, if you want to get more of V, Johnny, and soon, Adam Smasher himself, you will have to go against the world’s most talented children in Fortnite when the collaboration goes live soon.
