David Gilmour immortalizes his last concerts in an album that will come in September

The former Vocalist and guitarist of Pink Floyd, David Gilmour, will publish on September 26 a new live album, “The Luck and Strange Concerts”, in which immortalizes the concerts he offered during the presentation tour of his latest study work, “Luck and Strange,” Sony Music said.

The live includes 23 songs corresponding to the 23 dates of its World Tour, which led to stages such as the Circus Maximus of Rome, the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Intuit Dome and the Hollywood Bowl of Los Angeles or the Madison Square Garden of New York.

The repertoire also includes Pink Floyd classics that could not be missing, such as “Sorrow”, “High Hopes”, “Breathe”, “Time”, “Wish You Were Here” and “Comfortable Numb,” says the record company in a statement.

The live album can already be reserved in a box with four vinyl, double CD and digital.

David Gilmour harvesses successes beyond Pink Floyys

In addition to his work at Pink Floyd, Gilmour recorded to date five studio albums as a soloist that positioned himself among the 40 best on the lists of the United States.

In the last list of the 100 best guitarists published by Rolling Stone magazine, the British musician occupies the fourteenth place, and the eighth place on the list of “The 100 best guitarists”, of the Total Guitar magazine.

In 2006 the American magazine Guitar World included three of his songs among the 100 best alone of all time.

In 1996, it was included in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Pink Floyd, and in August 2006 his alone in “Comfortable Numb” was voted by the spectators of the Planet Rock Radio Station as the best guitar only in history ever recorded.

His particular style, together with the immense commercial and critical success of Pink Floyd have made him one of the most representative and influential guitarists of the musical panorama.
