The Chamber of Deputies generally approved, in particular, the opinion that reforms provisions of the General Laws of National Assets and Ecological Balance and Environmental Protection, in terms of free and free access to beaches and protected natural areas, in accordance with a statement.
The opinion establishes in the General Law of National Assets that access to maritime beaches and federal maritime-terrestrial zone contiguous to them will be free, free and permanent for all persons without distinction of origin, nationality or social status and may not be inhibited, restricted, hindered or conditioned, except in cases indicated by other laws or administrative regulations.
The federal, state and municipal authorities, within the scope of their powers, will guarantee access from the public roads to the maritime beaches and federal maritime-terrestrial zone adjacent to them, which must be safe and marked.

It indicates that the imposition of collections, quotas or restrictive conditions for entering the maritime beaches and federal maritime-terrestrial zone contiguous to them, except by express provision for the prevention and environmental protection, public safety, national interest and in the cases established by administrative regulations.
Meanwhile, article 56 of the General Law of Ecological Balance and Environmental Protection, it states that the Ministry of Environment will guarantee free access to the protected natural areas of its competence, at least one day a week.
On Sundays and holidays, the Secretariat will promote the discounts described in article 198 of the Federal Rights Law, as well as free access when the conditions allow it, and said access will be done with full respect for the measures of care and protection of biodiversity and ecosystems.
The document, which derives from an initiative of the deputies of Morena, Ricardo Monreal Ávila and Enrique Vázquez Navarro, was generally approved with 465 votes in favor, zero against and zero abstentions; In particular and with modifications he received 470 votes in favor, one against and zero abstentions.
