The Plenary of the Chamber of Deputies generally approved, with 349 votes in favor, 132 against and zero abstentions, the General Law of the National Guard, in accordance with a report by the Quadratín news agency.
The legislation contemplates that the National Guard (GN) will be a Public, Professional Security Force, of a permanent nature and composed of military personnel with police training dependent on the Secretariat of Defense (Sedena).
He points out that the object of the GN will be the public security function by the Federation and, where appropriate, in accordance with the agreements that are held for this purpose.
Also that the head of the Sedena, in accordance with the instructions he receives from the head of the Federal Executive, will be responsible for organizing, equipping, educating, training, training, administering and developing the GN.
