The Mexican baseball team Diablos Rojos, controlled by the wealthy Harp family, registered its shares on the Mexican Stock Exchange at a total value of 624.3 million pesos, according to the placement prospectus published this Friday.
The transaction includes the registration without public offering of 624,255 securities in the country’s main stock market with a theoretical nominal value of 1,000 pesos each and which are equivalent to the total share capital of the company.

The firm reported that the initial trading price of the papers, with ticker symbol “Diablos”, would be 1,620 pesos, according to the document.
The Mexican Stock Exchange said through its X account that the start of operations bell is scheduled for January 9.
Diablos Rojos is the first Mexican baseball team to debut on the stock market. In February, soccer club América went public after its spinoff from the media giant Grupo Televisa. Since then its price has grown by close to 200%.
