In an interview with the CNBC chain, the CEO of Openai, Sam Altman and the director of Nvidia, Jensen Huang, said they see the change as something positive.

For his part, Alman indicated that his company needs the “smarter people” and that he sees with good eyes the changes that lead to speeding up the H-1B process and “establish financial incentives.”

According to the proclamation signed by Trump, the H-1B, a non-immigrant visa that allows US employers to temporarily hire foreigners in specialized occupations, “has been systematically used to replace, instead of complementing, US workers with foreign labor, less qualified and with lower wages.”

The Trump administration accuses companies, especially those of information technologies, of using this visa to “outsourize” its workforce, with the goal of achieving “considerable savings” in salary mass.
